Courthouse weddings

Intimate, intentional, and unforgettably yours.

A courthouse wedding isn't a compromise; it's a declaration.
No distractions, no performance. Just you two and the vows that matter.
We're here to capture every quiet, extraordinary moment of it.

Simple. lEGAL. mEANINGFUl

A courthouse wedding (also called a civil ceremony) is a legally binding marriage ceremony officiated by a judge, clerk, or civil officiant at a government building no church, no venue, no elaborate planning required.

In New York and New Jersey, courthouse weddings range from quick civil ceremonies lasting under 10 minutes to more personalized elopements in beautiful civic spaces. All are fully legal and recognized everywhere.

Whether you're celebrating privately before a larger party, eloping completely, or simply choosing intimacy over spectacle we are honored to be there with our cameras.
The simplest ceremonies often hold the most genuine emotion. There is nothing to hide behind; only love.

Which Ceremony

is right for you?

Every courthouse wedding is different. Here are the most common types in NYC and NJ - along with what to expect from each.

City Hall Civil Ceremony

Most Common

The classic. You arrive at your local city clerk's office, obtain your marriage license if you haven't already, and a civil officiant performs a brief, legally binding ceremony on-site - often in a dedicated room or chapel within the building.

Intimate Elopement Ceremony

Most Romantic

A courthouse ceremony followed immediately by photos in and around the building - archways, staircases, exterior steps, nearby parks or streets. You write your own vows, invite only your closest people, and treat the whole morning as a celebration just for you.

Legal-Only Ceremony

Two-Part Wedding

Many couples legally marry at the courthouse weeks or months before a larger celebration, reception, or destination wedding. This keeps the paperwork stress-free and lets you fully enjoy your big day. We document the legal moment beautifully.
